I checked my serial numbers for my Z5ii, & Z6iii and I am not affected.

My Z5 II is also not affected (nor is the Z6 III I sold two weeks ago)

Since the Zr is included it is most likely a rather recent series of production runs that were affected. Likely something within the last year. It sounds like a defective subcomponent on a board.

My Z6III was also clear but then I’ve had it for over a year likely made well before the Zr went into pre-release production.

Sometimes when i turned the camera on, the EVF was black. Turning the camera off and on again solved it. Possible that the on/off switch was on the mainboard.

This might not have been the only problem.

The camera had an affected product serial number.

Depends on how widespread it is. From what I’ve seen it’s a fairly low percentage of cameras that are affected, and it’s likely that if it’s just a component or two on the boards they can take the replaced boards and swap the components for use in future repairs.
