Received a used lens from B&H rated 8.5 today, aka "visible cosmetic damage". Looked it over multiple times and can't tell it from new. If I was listing it in the B&S forum I would have listed it 9 or 9+.
I know some people occasionally report bad experience with B&H, but I have nothing but good words to say about them. No tax on a $5k purchase is the icing on the cake. Yes, yes, I am DEFINITELY reporting this to my local tax authorities next year... Really.... Possibly... Maybe
Haven't bought used from them yet, but have dealt with B&H for well over two decades. Had a couple of hiccups along the way, but both were promptly corrected.
More than low prices, good customer service matters to me, and B&H typically come through with just that.
My first purchase from B&H was shortly after they opened and were shipping nationally. I’ve purchased six figures worth of gear from them over the years. My early orders consisted of the Honeywell “potato smasher” reporters strobe, later a pair of Ascorlite 1600 strobes and Kowa Super 66. Over the weekend I contacted them because less than one month ago I purchase a printer that was on sale. A few days ago the discount increased by $130. B&H provided me with a refund of $130.
