A few photos from snowy March 6 2026 Ceremonial start in Anchorage Alaska. All photos captured with Nikon Z8, 135 Plena lens and all are Cobalt Kodachrome 25 or 64 preset processed. This was the first snowy ceremonial start day in years, the falling snow I thought gave a good sense of place for this event.

Thanks- after years away from using 135mm the Plena has made me a 135 believer again for people, pets, and animals
it just feels right doing this type of photography. Back in the day my 135mm was not weather sealed.... but now..it was perfect for what I envisioned on this day.

I sold my 135 many many years ago! I bought another one last year. I really missed it!

Oh my goodness. These are all great. I haven't seen pictures of this event, before, but obviously knew about it. These give a real good sense of being there.
