Perhaps, but it is not 1912 anymore. I think the A7V would compliment my A9ii nicely if I decide to keep two bodies. We're fortunate to have so many choices.
I bought the A7V kit and made some videos comparing it to A1
So far and I was not stunned by how good the A7V. The details from its sensor is pretty good, much better than my D800 36mp with a terrible Low pass filter.
Autofocus and bird recognition is better but not groundbreaking, the tracking is on par if not worse
The rolling shutter still plagues if I look for it. I think video is the place where it improves the most, which I have yet to test .
1. Better 4k60 sampling
2. Better IBIS for video
3. Better heat dissipation
4. Better 2nd native ISO (8000 vs 4000)
5. Flippy tilty screen
