Guess I'm a slow learner. I bought this lens TWICE. Didn't use it the first time and sold it, missed it for some reason, and bought it AGAIN. Haven't used the second copy (beyond initial test shots) either. Once this one is sold I promise I won't buy it again.
Anyway, I'm the original owner of this lens (purchased from Amazon). Since the initial flurry of test shots to make certain AF and image sharpness were up to snuff, the poor lens has been sitting unused on a shelf longing for a new, loving home. Let's see if we can find it one.
The lens is perilously close to "mint" condition. A close inspection this morning revealed a TINY blemish on the barrel. Not a scratch but rather a bright spot in the finish. Perhaps 2mm long (photo below). Apart from that imperfection, the lens is in stellar condition as one would expect a barely used lens to be. Glass is, of course perfect.
Yes, as myriad "influencers" have led you to believe, the Rokinon/Samyang 135/1.8 is sharp. It's the size and weight that keeps it on my shelf, not its performance.
