Like this shot. Wondering if in the same place with a bluer sky time of day, what it would look like with a 28mm and cropped in the direction of 16 x 9.
Hi Gerald, I am glad you like the shot. I have a couple of shots at about the same time, of this location however, shot in the opposite (east) direction. A bluer sky but no clouds
I only have a Viltrox 27 mm but it is the APSC 27/1.2 PRO. In other words, can't have it all.
Cheers, Joachim
I tried it Gerald. I got a bluer sky but only one cloud. The main issue is that there a bush to the left so, you can't create a "sort of" panoramic shot without having this bush interfere with the view of the lake.
Like I said, you can't have it all

Fair question and I haven't really decided yet, but wanting a 24 instead as it's a bit better gapping from my goto 35. I agree this little gem is impressive optically, especially given its size.
I finished typing out the first draft of my review this morning. I think the best one word summation would be "excoriated".So like, does it suck? "Excoriated" is pretty damning for a lens you keep posting pretty samples of lol. Or are there multiple lenses?I can't really get into those details yet. The IQ is great, and I like that part of it the most. Note that I had been viewing the value of the lens through the MSRP, not the launch price which I just found out about today.
A trip into an adit at an abandoned molybdenum mine on Mount Takhtarvumchorr. October 20, 2026.
The morning was sunny and frosty, with temperatures slightly below freezing. Down below, however, everything was shrouded in a thick fog that was gradually creeping higher and higher. Inside the adit, I took photographs using light from a headlamp and a 365 nm ultraviolet light. Sodalite and its varieties glow in bright shades of yellow and orange.
