Winter Light, Snowy Trees

While skiing recently this scene caught my eye when the sun briefly lined up behind this spruce, throwing a starburst through the snow-loaded branches. The cold blue sky and fresh snow made the light feel especially crisp this afternoon.

I appreciate your comment Piotr, thank you! My favorite sunstars are from Voigtlanders and Loxias, I'm sure you agree.

Crisp on a couple levels. Good "crisp" sharp image and the blue really relays "crisp" weather! Very nicely done.

Thank you Chad, really appreciate your comment. It was definitely one of those biting-cold days where everything felt as crisp as it looked!

Thank you, I agree with you about the 15III - such a nice little lens and mine is very sharp out to the edges especially stopped down a little and it has that signature Voigtlander color, contrast, and those amazing sunstars!

I can hear the silence Scott! Great composition here! Snow, deep blue skies and a "star burst" to boot!
Great work!

Thank you Dan, I always appreciate your kind words and nice feedback! I was hoping to capture that calm, frozen quiet — glad it came through. I always love a good star burst when it aligns!
