Don't throw away your dead M240 batteries!
I am looking to buy your dead, dying, or "error code" Leica BP-SCL2 batteries.
The Project: As many of you know, fresh OEM batteries for the M240/M246/M262 platform are becoming impossible to find (most "new" stock is actually 2016 vintage). I am currently working with a battery lab to validate a cell-replacement protocol using modern 2026-production Panasonic/Varta cells.
To stress-test this process, I need more donor cores.
What I'm Looking For:
Condition: Dead (0V), won't charge, blinking yellow error light, or holds a charge for only 10 minutes.
Physical: Casing must be intact (no cracks/severe swelling). Scratches/wear are fine.
Age: Any vintage (2012 "Inca" labels or 2015+ "Varta" labels).
The Offer:
$30 USD per battery (Net to you).
I cover shipping. (Requesting to please tape over the gold contacts (safety requirement). Place the battery in a Small Cardboard Box (e.g., reuse an Amazon pill bottle box or similar). Do not use a flat paper envelope to avoid damage.)
If you have a brick sitting in a drawer, turn it into beer money and help keep the M240 platform alive.
Please PM me with:
How many you have.
Brief description of the "death" (e.g., "sat in drawer for 3 years," or "blinking light").
