Thanks for the review. Seems like mine has more vignetting on a7r3. Bad enough with an overly bright center that I had to search Flickr for inspiration. Found this.

Mine arrived yesterday, ~$60 from Aliexpress.
Mixed bag, glad it was cheap haha!
I need to get outside and mess with it some more. I think I will take it apart and try to remove the internal "shroud", see if it gets a little brighter. Background seems very busy, and the minimum focus could be better. But it's a body cap that takes photos so I'm not super worried.

I dont understand why anyone would want this

The 28-60 is small enough no?

I recently started using Sony E 20mm F2.8 APSC lens on Z8 (30mm F4.2 FF) , which I had forgotten about. So very close to this lens.

The results are incredible! The pancake lens is impressively sharp, especially in the dead centre.

I can see the appeal of playing with this body cap size lens, but I can’t actually imagine picking this for a vacation or outing over the 28-60.

Yeah, I bought it for like 75$ or smth as a spare lens cap . It did surprise me positively with its sharpness, but it's weakness against strong light sources is a big disadvantage for general shooting...

Funny to see TTA copying the Chip down to the sliding cover with what looks like a worse build.

I bought the Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 fpr E mount and have sent it back after testing. The image quality was quite ok but the AF was too blunt in anything but bright light. I would have used it on my A5100 to get a tiny APS-C camera but it just didn't focus often enough, and no manual focus available.
It was a little better on the A6700 but it is a bit pointless an this bigger camera and still bad AF.
Then I bought an SG image 25mm 1,8 and it has much nicer build and focuses well. The image quality is also very acceptable for the size and use case.
