Next month, I will be in Torres del Paine doing some kayaking in Grey lake & Grey river and then the O-circuit. My planned hiking kit is my OM-1M2, PL 9/1.7, OM12-40/2.8 II, Oly 40-150/4-5.6.
Total focal range in FF is 18-300mm and the combined weight of the lenses is 28oz.
There will also be a New Moon while I am doing the O-circuit so I will take my Leofoto MT-03 & MBC-20 & case = 9.7oz for nightime shots - something I have little experience doing but figured might be fun to try
I generally don't use the tele much but thinking this trip might merit taking it.
I don't need to carry a tent, bag or food other than lunch. I hike a lot and since the max. elevation is less than where I live & hike, I am fine with a heavier lens choice.
Lenses: 14mm to 400mm. You will likely use them all.
ND filters and tripod: strongly recommended. The winds are crazy and can stir up the clouds into a frenzy
Serious rain protection - preferably rubber not Goretex. If you insist on Goretex then pair it with a poncho. Make sure that you have sufficient straps to secure the poncho on your body. Winds can be fierce. March is shoulder season and the weather can be particularly volatile. Alas you will be too early for serious lenga color.
Final suggestion - drop the decimal places in the weights. For all practical purposes for the hikes you describe (no tent, no food, etc) 9.7 oz is identical to both 9oz and 10 oz
