p.1 #1 · Herline Covered Bridge

Bedford County, Pennsylvania.. Herline Covered Bridge
I found the inside equally impressive as the outside of the bridge. The 225 year old house was a nice "afterthought" when I edited the image. I am not sure color does the cb justice. The day was one of raw bitter cold and snow..broken clouds...very early morning..sun is peeking through the "windows" just under the roof line.
Dan

I "x" posted in "B&W" forum so please excuse the color image.

Like all, Dan, but the interplay of light in #3 really catches my eye. In addition to the quality of the image, I am intrigued by the massive, curved wooden beams. Would be interested in the backstory, as to how and when they were made, as Home Depot is completely out.
Thanks and nicely done.

Nice Dan, I'm really like the last one in B&W - great texture, leading lines and overall composition!

Thank you Scott! Winter is "thee" time to capture these gems. This was from years ago while traveling to the "Flight 93 Memorial" dedication.

Thanks!

I agree Carol! B&W really gives an era-esque feel to the bridge.
Thanks!

Many thanks "MIch". I agree 100%! I posted the color just to see what members thought.
