First off, what an amazing story...
Secondly, what a waste to donate those to the Met. They are going to sit in a box in an offsite storage facility and it's not as if these are difficult to source. She should have given them to an art school (and not Pratt or Parsons but someplace poor and without a lot of resources) where somebody can use and learn with them and discover the magic of photography. Just my $0.02.
