About this lens:
This is a fantastic wildlife lens. I replaced a massive 500mm f/4 F-mount lens with it and never looked back The weight savings alone is transformative. The optical quality is outstanding, autofocus is lightning fast and accurate (especially paired with the Z9), and the VR is excellent for handholding. I used this primarily for bird photography with fantastic results.
The lens has been lightly used overall (my Z9 body has only 8,434 actuations), works perfectly, and shows no optical issues. The Kirk LP-70 lens foot is a significant upgrade over the stock foot, providing better ergonomics and Arca-Swiss compatibility.
Why I'm selling:
I've moved to the Canon R system for VR work and can no longer justify keeping the complete Nikon system.
