you did'nt even know what it was til you were informed. ffs
is a Blue Weimaraner actually blue?
are Red Pandas red?
Yes I was unaware of the name Silver Wood duck and I thanked you for that. As for your questions, they are distractions from the questions I asked you. Many birds names don't match there color. So what!

I think it's an even more rare 'Pewter Wood Duck' with light 'tannish' undertones. Morris did a fine job of capturing such a very rare specimen.
Greg
Thank you Greg,
I googled "Pewter Wood Duck" and the results put a huge smile on my face. Others should do this search.

Sensational Duck and masterfully photographed! Your processing is spot on with the perfect amount of sharpening and edit. Well done!
Have gone back to these several times to enjoy Morris. Have never seen nor heard of this variation or others mentioned. Interesting how the mind works, see it as you photographed it and at times my mind fills in the colors we are more familiar with

Great find. You may want to go again and get some more . In flight maybe...
Thank you Chris,
I was there the other day and did not see him. I'm confident he is around somewhere yet I'm not confident that I'll see him again.

Really a great unique presentation!!
Karl
Thank you Karl,
The one thing I did not think of when I was photographing him was to take a photo of him with a usual male Wood duck.

I'm green, with envy. How lucky to spot it (whatever you call it). And a good job of documenting it.
Thank you Bob,
It is called a Silver Wood duck. I've done some reading since my original post

Morris, I don't care what others call it, I call it fabulous! I think I may like that coloration better than the usual. At any rate, job well done!!
