Thank you for your kind words Gentlemen - two comments to contribute to a discussion perhaps
First I have been chaffing at the bit waiting for some decent light - snow is a constitutionally required delight of the Canadian Winter of course ( UGH !) but bright sun and snow is SO bright and snowING too dark and uncomfortable for kit and for man so I tried for a gentle painterly soft effect yesterday with just light and drifting snow - I think some of them worked.
Second, Douglas, I definitely agree about a wider view/lens but it was a casual foray and I only took a 50 with me and as I will be 88 this year much of my shooting nowadays (esp in lousy weather) if from the car so my options here were a bit limited - but I love shooting old agriculture and given the light and the subject I think it sort of worked a bit.
