p.1 #1 · Is rattle noise from Z DX 12-28 normal

A while back my Z50 with 12-28 attached took a bad tumble. The Z50 is toast but the 12-28, aside from cosmetics seemed fine. I tried it out on my Z9 before I got rid of that body and everything seemed fine but I didn't test it conclusively. I have no Z body anymore. When I give the lens a light shake, unattached, I'm hearing a pretty distinct rattle noise. Can any 12-28 owners confirm if that sound is normal ?

Yes, it�s the VR element. It isn�t locked in place without power.

Had me shaking mine to confirm this. It does sound like something loose in there.
