I've been using the Phase 150mp for shooting ads and commercial jobs over the last few years - With that resolution I don't have to worry too much about extra extension plates. In many cases it lets me shoot a wider frame and just crop in for the required formats.
For on-location utility, the 100mp Fuji has already been a massive step up from Phase, but 180mp while benefiting from the Fuji body's superior usability, AF, and weather sealing sounds like bliss.
(EDIT: for the record my preferred format is 35mm film, but for some applications more is certainly more - in a good way)
I just wonder if lenses like the 45-100 will have enough resolving power for a 180mp sensor. With the 100mp sensor I treat the center portion of the frame as my standard full frame field of view, and then I know if they need a 9:16 or 4:5 crops I’m pretty well covered and lessens the amount of plates I need to shoot. The 9.76 million dot EVF on the GFX100ii definitely helps when shooting 20-30% wider for coverage though. Could barely see expressions on talent with the GFX100S lol. I wonder what’s next for EVF resolution…

I'd certainly be up for an updated *premium* version of the standard lens lengths - like the Phase blue ring lineup.
That would be great. I usually shoot the 45-100 stopped down a bit, but find it a little soft wide open. An updated 32-64 that opens up to 2.8 would be sweet. Also a better constructed 100-200 that is at least f4 while they’re at it
