Here's an alternate lighting setup on Laila. For these I had a 42" ungrided beauty dish shooting into a 6X6 scrim camera left. Camera right I had a 7X4 black bounce which was also acting as a flag to block spill from a 72" silver umbrella which was illuminating the white background. There was also a lantern pointing into the ceiling to slightly bring up ambient light. Oh, and a Dewalt electric leaf blower mounted to the stand the lantern was on via a magic arm. It was really an exercise in lighting the space and not the person. It was easy for her to just walk in and out of the light and blower to give different looks.

They’re all good but 1 and 5 are my favorites. Really nice work again!
Thank you, I have about 30 or 40 shots of her with this set up, which makes hard to choose.

Great work. Again I'm partial to #4 here. Great shot and so natural.

Thank you, she does look like she feels pretty comfortable in that one.

I agree with the other praising your work, although I do have a problem with the top of her head being cropped off in several shots.
Thanks for posting Jim. A slight crop of the top of the head is pretty common but I do realize there's different camps on this. For me as a photographer and art director who's viewed thousands of casting headshots, it kind of depends. The top of the head adds no value to the personality of the client. The eyes, expression, and clothes they wear give us insight to how well they can portray the roll. We all know that the head does not magically drop off if cropped in the photo. When I was casting for TV commercials, most of the headshots had heads cropped. And based on the thousands of headshots I've seen from people like Peter Hurley it's perfectly acceptable and is left to the photographer's (or clients) discretion. But like fashion, this is the trend - but it can change with the wind.
Well done. For me poses # 4 & 5 are the picks. The lighting is very appealing and the poses look very natural. She is a beautiful lady.
A minor nit -- in #5 there is a speck of background peeking through her hair on the right that I would clone out -- it almost looks like she has a white speck of something in her hair.

Thank you very much. And I see what you're talkin bout, good eye.
