p.1 #1 · Nikon WR-R10: update to firmware version 3.0
This question is for people who sent Nikon WR-R10 transceiver to update its firmware to version 3.0.
Nikon website says that authorized Service Center will upgrade Nikon WR-R10 to firmware version 3.0 free of charge but the owner need to pay the cost of shipping.
The last tab on the product entry webpage, titled "Review & Submit", has a notification stating that I will be charged $17.50 if the product is not repaired.
The firmware update is not a typical repair. How about the $17.50 charge?
I understand I need to pay for shipping to send the item to the repair facility. Did you pay for the return shipping?
