I am looking for the OCCASIONAL composition aide when I compose low to the ground photos of birds. An external monitor is not an option because I would not use it enough and don't want to lug yet more stuff and batteries.
Has anyone used their cell phone with a HDMI to UBC capture card? Those are compact and relatively cheap. If yes what is the specific cable you used? I hear that latency can vary significantly
