The last DPP version listed for Win 8.1 is 4.17.10 (Nov. 2022). Although it is impressive that Canon supported the old OS that long, the R5 II needs at least 4.19.10 (posted August 2024). Have you been able to install a version of DPP in Win 8 that works?
