Was out 2 days ago. House is over 250 years old. The goose is in a cafe window.

Beautiful b&w image with great tonal quality and composition. I think your goose is actually a Mute Swan.

Nice goose image. Well seen and captured, especially for an old guy

Nice Dan. The goose has some character for sure. I liked the second and my eye is drawn to those wonky wreaths. good stuff.

Thanks Bob! The town is Frederick, MD. Very historic in the creation of "Thee United States" and very active during the Civil War.
Francis Scott Key lived here. Supreme Court Justice Roger B. Taney lived and had a law office here..Justice Taney had a beautiful statue honoring his being a member of the "community" but the local activists had the memorial to him taken down because he was NOT "politically correct" in the Dred Scott Decision of 1864.

The Hessians that were captured by General Geo Washington in Trenton when he crossed the Delaware River were pow's here. The Hessian barracks still stands on the campus of the Maryland School for the Deaf.
Many stayed here and are now famous last names in the city's lineage.

I will dust off some images from the barracks! Quite interesting both in weapons used in both conflicts and the names on the pow lists.
Thanks!
Dan

You are 100% correct brother! I am not sure why I said it was a goose. I am olde!

Thanks for keeping me straight brother!

Thank you Marcelo! The wreaths were festive and I need to work on the detail that remains hidden in my post.

Thanks!

You and Brent have it correct Douglas. I don't know why I said it was a goose.

Ok Bob..I found the images I wanted and as usual my "cataloging" skills from 1 computer to another suck! So I now have what I need where and when I need it!
Here is some of the history from a feature I did for the Maryland Historical Society back in 2015.

This plaque rests on the outside of the original stone walls 1770's. The frigate "Constellation" is shown, in part, at Baltimore Harbor
