Tallest of the Really Right Stuff carbon fiber tripods. 68 inches with 4 sections extended. 4.6 lbs with 80 lb carrying capacity.
As devised by Steve Perry of Back Country Gallery a lever release with a dovetail has been mounted on the top plate to accept a combined dovetail, levelling base and BH-55 ballhead with lever release. This unit adds 8 inches of height and is easily removed for ease of carrying with a flip of the release lever.
RRS charges $1385 but it is out of stock. They do list one under "field grade" for $1180.
Prefer to sell the entire setup as one unit. $950 for the tripod and $450 for the leveling base+ballhead for $450. $1300 for the complete package. Pictures available for complete setup.
