I know this doesn’t matter so much but I was hoping to use this lens with my M11. I’ve already used it actually. I know the coding isn’t so crucial but how do I obtain the 6 color code for this lens and what adapters are people using for these older lenses? I don’t need the super fancy ones. I just prefer the camera be able to read the lens. Thanks.

If the lens is M39 mount, then yes, you would need an M39 to M adapter to use it on your M11. It's a very thin adapter, usually around 1mm thick. I’d recommend getting one that supports 6-bit coding. Those have the small recesses where you can apply the black paint, only black is needed for the camera to read the code.
If the lens is already an M-mount lens, you unfortunately can't just paint the code directly on the mount since it will smear and won't hold. In that case, the only solution is to replace the mount with one that supports 6-bit coding.
