Beautiful shots John. Love the little white chin patch.
Looks like it was not freaked out about your presence.
Tony
Hi Tony. Thank you. When I first saw the white spot I thought he had something in his mouth. Later I could clearly see it was just a white patch of fur. He was nervous at times, very alert. I kept my distance and he cooperated.

Looks like you made a new friend John, and you got some great expressions from the cute little bugger too. Nice set!
Eric
Hey Eric. Man I hope so, don't see many of these. Usually get a glimpse and they are gone. Thanks for looking and commenting, very much appreciated.

Never know what you will find when out looking for owls, sometimes you find an owl and sometimes something else steals the show!
Great find, such a unique coloring, nice images buddy!
Karl
Yep, amazing what you see if you just get out there. Thank you.

Super find and great captures, John! Last year, about this time, someone left a whole farm of these varmints loose on local wildlife, most of which were killed.
Douglas
Thanks Douglas. I remember reading about them getting lose.

Awesome! I've never seen one. Love to find a mink or a fisher at some point.
Thanks Rik I have seen a handful of them, usually near water and usually just a glimpse and they are gone.
Interesting to see this mink so close. The best I've seen
Robert
Thank you Robert. Most cooperative one I have ever found.

Hey John, I worked my way through college working all night for Fur breeders CO-OP in Salt Lake City making food for mink. I worked all night and then attended classed all day for three days a week. I never saw a mink though so it is nice to see your images. Bruce
Hey Bruce. Interesting college story. My pleasure to share this one with you.

These frames look similar to (but better than) some shots I took of a mink along the Cleveland lakefront a couple months ago. Perhaps the same one 😆
Hi Jared. These were taken a couple of hours away from Cleveland. Could be a relative of the one you photographed. Thank you for looking and commenting.
