Hello everyone! As we wrap up 2025, let’s revive our tradition of sharing a 'Best of the Year' thread. We missed out on a 2024 collection, so I’d love to see the community come together to make this year's gallery better than ever. Please post your favorite shots from 2025 below—I can’t wait to see your work!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and creative New Year.
I will start with few images from my trip to New Zealand.
Wanaka Tree in Fall colors at sunrise
Lower Mclean Falls
Te Anau Jetty
McLean Falls
Mirror Lake
Florence Hill lookout point - Papatowai beach on a super windy day.
I tried to push it harder on the hiking and landscape photography this year, and even though I came away with a lot of shots I was happy with, it still feels like I didn't do enough.
This shot won me a purple ribbon/grand champion in the amateur scenic division at the local county fair this summer.
From this year's first visit to North Coyote Buttes.
White Pocket, the famous tree.
When the aurora hit last month.
Moomaw glacier, one of the tougher glaciers to get to in RMNP.
Looking forward to seeing everyone else's shots in this thread!
Did not shoot a lot of landscapes in 2025 as I "discovered" birds a couple of months ago and have been shooting them obsessively. But I did have an epic session in Alaska over the summer. I posted some from that trip earlier, here are a few that I don't think I have posted here
