I had not one but TWO 5MB drives for my Amiga back in the 80s; full height 5.25" at that. It was quite the luxury from someone who started out in 1981 on a Commodore VIC-20.
Been using Macs on and off since around 2010 when I realised that the vast majority of the time they are entirely trouble free and seem to not suffer from the Windows "bit rot" where things just get slower and worse over time the longer you own the machine. Currently rocking a M2 Max Studio with 32GB RAM which I am very happy with. Did look at the M4 Mini but I am allergic to fan noises so the giant heat sinks of the Studio appealed to me. So far I haven't heard a single sound out of it despite running it pretty hard at times.

I have run into a few of these issues lately, software capability. Per Reddit, some "get around" these issues with running VMWare, and albeit, its free.. I've tried it and its not... good imo. One thing I like is, this M4 fits in my palm, runs faster than my last build, and has freed up my desk space and is virtually silent. That being said, im always open to the possibility of a new mITX build. But I bought this M4 Pro right before prices shot up for everything.
