p.1 #1 · Recommendations for small square filter system for Leica M mouint (compact) lenses
Hi,
I am new to Leica, coming over from Fuji X (X-Pro1, 2). For 20+ years I have been using a set of Cokin P square filters. They were the perfect size for the lenses I used them with. Now that I am using teeny little lenses I would like to find a different system, that is ideally more compact than the P series.
My needs:
- Square filter
- Predominantly use neutral grads.
- Polarizer
- One to two filters stacked max
- Avoid vignetting at 21mm with the above lens
- Ideally smaller than P series - mainly for portability rather than viewfinder blockage (I have a visoflex that I would use for this kind of work).
- Ability to work across a bunch of lenses.
So far I have considered:
- Cokin A series - compact at 67mm. Super low cost on ebay
- Nisi 75mm kits - 75mm. Probably the most flexible and could cover all the above lenses? Lovely quality but pricey.
- Nisi P1 kit (smaller filter - 49mm for phones, compact camera systems) with some kind of 3D printed custom holder from Yeggi or somewhere.
