I imagined "Northern Michigan" meant the Upper Pen, but I see you are just North of Grand Rapids.
I know Marquette during the winter and that is winter!

It was a right hook. I don't really like talking about politics, but I left Russia after the war started with my entire family. I don't think things are that bad in America. I've been to America many times and I have a lot of friends there too – and most of them, like most of us here, are wonderful people in every way.
And in general, the photo forum here is one of the friendliest.
Unfortunately, I’ve already had a friend turned away at the border. And he’s certainly no radical of any type. That makes a lot of us think twice about booking airline tickets. Insurance doesn’t always cover these losses if you’re deemed not suitable for entry. Let alone the trip that was due to follow.
I’ve had some incredible trips to the US as well. I have friends there (republicans and democrats). I’d love to visit. But unfortunately the current administration isn’t as friendly as the people always are. It’s not the people. Or the place. But we need to know we can actually get in if we buy a ticket. I can wait. In time cooler heads will prevail. It’s 20+ hours from Oz to the US. That’s a long way to be turned around upon entry.
I don’t want to get political either so I’ll just finish by saying I would like to re-visit the US, in time.
Just an example of some rolling shutter, despite being at 1/320s and IBIS ... something to be wary of (mentioned above) when using the E-Shutter for non-XCD lenses (Hassy or non-Hassy).
