p.1 #1Let's play name that bug!
OK, I know, not the best shot in the world for identification, but these two little guys were zipping around at light speed playing grab arse and I was lucky just to get them both in the viewfinder for a shot with the 200-600mm...

I think the lead guy coming at me in this shot has the remnants of another bug to snack on and the other one is trying to catch it and steal the snack?

Any enlightenment as to what we are looking at would gain my undying respect as payment since I am fresh out of kewpie dolls.

Thanks,
Eric

Haven't a clue, but applaud you for getting this shot. Will be interesting to see what response you get and what the ID is.

Sorry don't have much "bug" knowledge, but it is a cool shot. The guy on the bottom looks like a long legged horn player

My guess is Mud Wasp. Or some new nano-drones that are made to look like bugs

Looks like it could be a wasp- Ichneumon. Or a thread waisted wasp(black species).

Thanks everyone for playing our game and kind comments. I think Birdie nailed it. Some kind of thread waisted wasp. Maybe this one or similar. Seems to be pretty diverse family with some variations.
