Landmannalaugar is a must see for landscape photographers visiting Iceland. A relatively easy F-road without river crossings leads to a campsite, hotsprings, and trailhead. This ease of access and Highland beauty means you won't be alone - make sure to get parking reservations before you go.
You are right Jeffrey, but we parked our rental Subaru Forester on the other side of that river and took the walking bridge. Watching similar cars go through the larger stream made me wonder if they got water in through their doors.
I agree with all of the nice, observant comments.
I don't really understand what is going on in #1, but I like it best; it seems so dynamic.
stay well, tom
#4 stands out for me.
We had to pull 1 vehcle out of the ford and another that made it through before dying shortly after. Seemed like every day on that trip we had to help a stranded vehicle.
Truly outstanding imagery, Jim. I like every one of them but the 4th and 5th are jaw droppers. The textures and tones in both are just crazy good.
