An aluminum over wood sculpture on Carroll Creek. Sculpted by Svend Bue Rondum. Donated to the city of Frederick, MD by some local golfers who went to the British Open at St Andrews Scotland and had this made to remind them of that adventure.

I agree with the Rusty one, Dan.
The penultimate has the best exposure IMO, but it's that tree directly behind the sculpture that makes it a bit 'messy'.

The last one conveys it best for me.
Thanks Kent! This is a very hard subject to photograph because of all of the surroundings. Your choice especially.
Thanks!

Thank you Bart! YES..this was a very hard subject to photograph. The surroundings are very "busy" especially in the "leafy" seasons. I am not sure why the "Arts Council placed the sculpture in that place.
There are many wonderful open areas next to the creek that allow a unified view.
Thanks!

Very nice series, Dan. It's interesting that the sculpture looks so completely different when photographed from varying vantage points. If I had to pick a favorite (I know I don't) it would probably be the third image, but I like them all. I like the juxtaposition with the tree branches and think they enhance each other. Great contrast.
