Just back from spending 5 days shooting at Bosque del Apache and the surrounding areas, not what it once was but still a magically place. Between Bosque refuse and Bernardo there was plenty of shooting for both Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese, most of what I would call good shooting was the morning fly-offs and the evening fly-ins. With a light cloud cover the colors can be incredible. I was there during the week so not big crowds and the weather was great, low 20’s at night and mid 40’s during the day.
1, 5, 6 and 9 are my picks from this lovely set Louie. It was great meeting you and Morrie in person after years on FM and great shooting with both of you as well. Possibly we can shoot together again in the future.
Wow !! Judging by these beautiful images I would say this trip was a huge success. When I do a photo trip, i always hope to come home with beautiful images like these. Congratulations Louie. Just looking at the images I can tell you enjoyed this experience. Voted

Beautiful set Louie !!! I really love 4. All beautifully done.
What did you feel was different from your past visits.
Birdie
Very much appreciated Birdie, thanks. Don't get me wrong still la magical place, but the bird count is way down and with no corn at the refuse what birds are there are way off in the distance. But between Bosque and Bernardo lots of wildlife to photograph.

Thanks very much John. Bosque is a special place for me having gone there for years and I think I enjoy every bit as much now as I did years ago, it is a magically place. Again, thanks for you kind words.
