This is a first-batch version 2 Summilux 50 pre-asph, from 1961, with the beautiful older barrel style, and the much improved v2 optics. Some signs of use on the barrel, but the glass is beautiful. Coatings are excellent, focus is smooth, aperture nicely clicks. This is a good copy that is sharp wide open. Was CLA'd in 2025. The bokeh is genre-setting. It’s built like a brass tank. Comes with an excellent, period correct XOOIM clip-on hood and cap, super slim UV filter that works properly with the hood, and an aftermarket rear cap. No box.
