For sale is my Leica MP 0.72 silver chrome, customized in Ginza, Japan in a Hermes look style.
IMPORTANT: this is NOT the original limited Leica MP Herms edition.
It is a standard silver MP that was professionally re-covered in Japan with an orange/tan leather skin to resemble the Herms aesthetic. The work was done in Ginza (Tokyo) by the previous owner around 2022. I am not the first owner.
Cosmetically the camera is in excellent condition, very close to new. No dents, no brassing, no paint loss. Only very minor handling marks from normal careful use. Please check the photos for an accurate representation of the condition.
Mechanically everything works as it should:
- Shutter speeds are accurate across the range.
- Rangefinder is properly aligned (both vertical and horizontal).
- Viewfinder is bright and clear, framelines are strong.
- All controls feel smooth and precise.
The camera has been used mainly for personal photography and stored carefully in a dry, non-smoking home. No issues, no stories I am only selling because I decided to keep just one film body and free some funds for another hobby.
