p.1 #1 · Options for a TTL compatible flash for SL2-S?
I've been digging around to find third party options that would work with the SL series as a flash with TTL function. However, I've only found the Leica ones that worked. has anyone had luck with any other brands?
Godox has said that they will be releasing a TTL capable Leica version of the innovative and very useful iT32/X5 flash plus transmitter combo kit. But no date has been given. https://www.godox.com/product-e/iT32-X5.html
Unfortunately, as with many things Leica your options are limited.

Low cost option.
Some of the new third-party flashes are offering an Auto Mode (auto thyrister) in which the flash controls the exposure. The flash has a sensor that monitors the light reflected off the subject and kills the flash when correct exposure is achieved. The flash requires the user to enter the camera ISO and shooting aperture in order to work correctly. This is an early form of flash exposure control that is still effective today. Many older flashes have this mode. My Nikon flashes work fine in this mode on my Leicas.

thanks for the insight. It's quite surprising that there are so limited ways to get accessories for Leicas besides though Leica themselves. I've used Godox TTL triggers before and will have to look at it again.
