Haven't been in Korea in the winter (or at all) for many years. I don't think it's too cold for camera gear. Perhaps the opposite of Malaysia? If outside in the cold, maybe plastic bag the gear when coming inside to a warm, maybe a bit humid area, to avoid condensation? Rain or perhaps snow would be handled like any where else?
