Thanks, Jim. You'll just have to go back! The Highlands are probably my favorite place, but I don't think I could ever get tired of the Jokulsarlon area, either.
Monika these are just outstanding compositions! The vibrance is outstanding! How you composed "the frame" is wonderful!
The aurora came to Maryland but my "still" images are nowwhere as fine as these! #1 WOW!!!!
The "shimmering" of the waves of color and light was wonderful here BUT I did not do "video".
Each frame is an art into and of itself!!
Again top shelf!

Great shots! I am excited for my upcoming trip to Iceland in February. Especially looking forward to the aurora.
Hope you find it with either a great foreground or just lots of light dancing!

Tough to pick a favorite - they are all good. But the Landamannalauger picture looks great - outstanding colors and great processing!

I don't do video, either and sometimes wonder why not. Or timelapse (I don;t have the patience to process). You really have to be far north to get the dancing aurora.

Oh lord! Now i know what extra-terrestrial really looks like!
So stunning! Bookmarked 😍
Thanks, everyone! And as a cautionary tale for anyone going to thermal areas, this is what happens when you don't look where you're backing up & drop your gear into a fumarole. This poor fellow was the only pro photog on the trip. Fortunately, he & the guide both shot Canon & he was able to borrow gear for the rest of the trip. Unlike the person who dropped her gear into the river below a waterfall.........someone was able to fish out her tripod, but she lost several lenses & her backup body.
