A bit of an unexpected trip but I will be in Nanaimo for a week around Christmas. As one might expect, most of the time will be family activities but I anticipate having some solo time too. I will have a rental car. My photographic interests are primarily wildlife (of any kind; avian, mammal, even amphibians and (some) reptiles). Given the primary nature of the trip, I don't intend to bring my big bulky 500mm but I will have my 100-400 and my 1.4x (both to be used on the 45mp Canon R5)
