OMG someone is kite skiing!!! That is an excellent image, love the contrast and powerful feel. Are those windmills or oil derricks at a distance on the right?
The light caught that kite perfectly
Karl
Nice shot! Have to confess, without Karl's post above I would not have been able to tell what I was looking at. As it is, I only think I can see the "oddball" in the sky, or is that a bird?

Hello Karl, thanks.
Indeed, that's one of the North sea wind parks in the (not so) far distance.
Light on the kite was just a lucky coincident.

Hello Ray, The actual "oddball" I'm referring to is somewhere behind the pier. It's the kite the gives him (or she) away.

Really nice job of showing the power of wind and waves.

Thank you, Brent.
Pretty tough place to be at that time. I barely could keep myself steady enough for this hand held shot.
Afterwards, back at the car, I was completely soaked and covered in salt ...
The "attachment" is somewhere behind the pier.
You can just make out the cords leading to the surfer's suspected location.
I love the seagulls here that ride the updraft over the pier.
Quite a magnificent sight !
Best regards,
Bart
Hi Bart! Yeah buddy...I followed the "guy lines" as best I could but I got lost! YES! The sea gulls....! A seaport's A.H. "The BIrds"!
