I recently picked up a cheap iPad mini gen-6 (with the A15 and 512Gb storage) just to run Phocus :-) It has been great so far! So fun to just edit your photos on the couch in the living room :-) -- it is light weight and easy to bring along and allows you to do light editing really easily pulling the images through WiFI from the camera, and it is easy to share the photos then directly to friends etc.
Now, I usually use 16-bit HEIF, and for that the iPad mini is more than fast enough. Even then, when sharing with friends even a medium jpg export is often already too large for apps like whatsapp etc.
If anything, I now think I should perhaps have gotten a larger iPad with a bigger screen .. but then, the mini is super portable and easy to bring along..
