I went to a Jeff Daniels concert last night at a venue that has a policy of not allowing "professional cameras." They define professional cameras as those with interchangeable lenses. I took my M10M with just a small 50mm Summicron and they decided to allow it because it isn't much larger than a point & shoot. Kind of a silly policy. I was off to the side in the 2nd row, but still pretty far away for a 50mm, but thanks to a good quality file and lens it was close enough. The first image is the full uncropped version. The second one is a pretty severe crop. The show was superb. Great musician and storyteller.

He's coming to Woodstock, IL soon. He was there once before. I didn't photograph him (during my time as the staff photographer at the local paper) because I wanted to enjoy the evening with my wife.
He puts on a really great show. Glad you were able to see him and sneak in a photo.
I had NO idea that Jeff was a musician/sing/songwriter Brent!
Fantastic compositions!
There is a valid reason venues do not "like" or allow "35mm style cameras". But many lines are crossed with allowing people to use the new smartphone cameras and excluding us "handholding" body" people.
Years ago the point was pretty vaild. Today not so much!

Again well done!
Any snow there?
Your weather hits us tonight!
Dan
Thanks much, Dan. He's an interesting guy. He likes doing music more than acting and now lives in a small, quiet town in Michigan. He's got a great voice, good sense of humor and plays guitar right up with the best.
You're probably happier with the weather than I am.
