p.1 #1Patagonia Pumas
Congratulations to regulator for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 6 votes - View Previous Winners

A trip at the end of September to see the Pumas in the Torres del Paine area did not disappoint. Fortunately, we had several days of good weather before experiencing some of the better known climate conditions in the region!

Really great stuff here, wow! ... and #7 makes that kitty look positively jacked like it's been hitting the kitty gym and steroids! I wouldn't want to get in a wrestling match with that thing, yikes, heh heh. Congrats.

We were there for 6 days. The weather was wonderful for the first four days, and then the wind and rains set in.

That is the only male I got close enough to for acceptable shots, and it took several visits over a 24 hour period for him to get comfortable with us. I believe all of the other images are of females who are known to be more tolerant of photographers.

Thank you Greg and Arash. I think 4 helps show the vast and rugged environment where the cats reside.

Thanks Karl. It will be in the near future!

It was a great experience Louie. I’ll be out your way in June and hope our paths cross again then…
