I mainly shoot Sony, about six months ago I bought a Canon R5 and had it converted into an 830nm (B&W) infrared camera. Long story short, the on-sensor AF systems Sony and Nikon use in their mirrorless cameras may show visible stripes in the sky when converted into IR. The higher the resolution, the darker the conversion, the more visible the stripes. After very extensive research, I got myself a Canon R5 specifically for 830nm conversion. I don't shoot IR often but I personally like the looks of 830nm when the lighting conditions are right.
Here are some shots from my recent trip to Colorado and Utah. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful!
May I ask who you had do the IR conversion?
Thank you!
I had a total of 4 cameras converted, the first one was a Sony APS-C A6000, 830nm conversion by Kolari Vision in New Jersey. I liked it so much that I bought a full frame Sony A7III (24mp) to have it converted by Life Pixel in Washington State, I used it for about 2 or 3 years, loved it. I decided to have a higher resolution IR body, so I bought a Sony A7RIV (61MP), had it converted by Life Pixel too. Unfortunately, the ugly stripes were very visible in the sky in pictures taken with the A7RIV because of the high resolution. I really wanted a higher resolution IR camera, I talked to both Kolari and Life Pixel extensively, it seems Canon's mirrors bodies don't show the stripes. I bought an Canon R5 and had it converted by Kolari. They are both good companies but Kolari is closer to me.
