I’m putting together a small-group photography tour for February 2026 that combines Bolivia’s world-famous, UNESCO-designated Oruro Carnaval (we’ll spend two full days there) with an extended journey across the Salar de Uyuni, the southern Bolivian altiplano, and into Chile’s Atacama Desert.
It’s not just about night skies—though we’ll be shooting under some of the darkest Bortle-1 skies on the planet—but also the surreal landscapes of salt flats, volcanoes, flamingo lagoons, and high-desert reflections by day.
The trip will start Saturday, Feb 14 in Oruro and run about 10-12 days total. Participants can either return to Bolivia for their flight home or continue south to San Pedro de Atacama and exit via Santiago.
If you’re interested in joining or learning more about the itinerary and logistics, send me a PM and I’ll share the details.
