I always try to drill down to the essentials. Even when I'm just out and about making photos, it's always about the person, not the crowd. I find being specific about the people I'm interested in photographing much more challenging to find amidst the chaos, but so much more interesting than the spectacle.
This set is very well done. I agree with others that focus on individuals was the way to go. I had intended to photograph our local gathering but didn't feel well that day. Next time!
