Has anyone actually used both versions and noticed any differences? The weird part is that at 200mm the original V1 has a GN of 60m and the V2 has a GN of 58m. For many years the 600 series flashes meant that they had a GN of 60m compared to the 580 series with a GN of 58m. It's weird that the GN would actually be different unless it's just the rating. I know the V2 is only 0.1 stop lower output but it is still strange since they are both listed as 76Ws flashes. Thanks.
The highest GN is at 200mm, so that is determined by however they zoom, not the flash output. The old ones only zoomed to 105mm.
The GN at 50mm is listed at 120 ft at iso 100, my old 540EZ actually listed a bit higher 138 ft 42m. I've read flashes test at less power, I doubt 2m difference is much

I'm not sure what that implies. The later versions of the same products are being re-evaluated for GN?

The Sony is apparently the same power as the Canon. If anyone is going to say Canon is no good. The various companies haven't been able to increase the GN on these compared to 80's models, other than adding longer zoom
