Sure the experience, but also I like pixel peeping, cropping and dislike the sharpening I see in phone pictures.
But it's nice that when the camera isn't with you, and you're doing scenery, the phone camera will work in a pinch. I'm due for an upgrade at some point but didn't like what I heard about the new iphones build quality.
Will make sure to get an app to skip some of the processing.

Interesting. I'm due for an upgrade (currently still in the 15 pro) and haven't read anything indicating any issue with build quality. Can you please provide me an industry review citing any concern over build quality? I'll wait for the next if there's an issue.

Saw the video from the guy that scratches new tech goods to test them. It's missing some bevel near the camera bump that will result in dents, the paint scratches away very easily to the point the kids are calling it "scratch-gate". It's also aluminium instead of titanium, drops easily denting it.
Personally not liking what I saw and heard, figured I'd wait another gen.
I think the 17 pro's camera is the same as the previous one too, except for a boost to the telephoto - but it's already rather good of course.
But if I really needed an upgrade, I'd get it, I usually grab a thin case for grip anyway. Almost need an upgrade, this will be my last samsung (s21 ultra), go outside and it's anyones guess if it will connect to data.
I guess if you view your photos from an iPad or iPhone or Macbook (or comparables) it doesn't matter what capture medium you use. However, there is zero comparison between a Leica M11 (with ANY Leica M lens) and an iPhone image when viewed enlarged on a decent computer monitor or blown up to 20x30, 30x40, 18x24".............. none.

If you're putting a case on, then the bevel scratches are a non-issue. The Jerry Rig Everything guy said as much too. Personally I never use a case and haven't seen any scratches so far on the bezel, and the rest of the build quality is excellent. MUCH better battery life and cooling, and while the main and wide cameras are the same hardware as last year, the new processing pipeline is definitely noticeable. Especially on wide angle shots, the corners are a lot less soft than they were on my 16 Pro. Also skin tones and colors in general seem to be a lot more closer to real life on the 17 Pro in my experience.

As for me I don't worry to much about scratches because that's what cases are for, I'm more interested in durability. Check this video out comparing the 17 pro vs 16 pro drop test.
I just shot the same picture with my iPhone 14 pro (old but basically the same sensor as the 17) and the M11 but in low light. The iPhone is a joke.
I hardly see the point of the view above: why shooting mountain landscape in bright light with a M11?
I mean, of course you can but you will hardly see the difference with many cameras. Why not try with different subjects, light levels, etc?
