Hopefully they'll have their Black Friday sale with much lower pricing. I bought a few pieces of gear the last couple of years when the prices were rock bottom.

I watch the refurb prices like a hawk. They were just down about 10 days ago at a decent price. The prices go up dramatically and can go down dramatically. Canon seems to like to experiment. Patience will win.
Yeah I even saw the 50mm 1.8 at $125 one day only not long ago but mostly was $175 and now even higher markymarc wrote:

Not if the Trump administration goes forward with the 100% tariff against China.
Canon manufactures most of it's high end cameras and L lenses in Japan. I believe in 2022, Canon shut down their Zhuhai, China plant due in part, to shrinkage & supply chain issues. They also produce gear in Taiwan & Malaysia.

They might not be as low as when I bought my refurbished RF 50 1.8 for $99 or my R100 with the kit lens for $239, but I believe they'll be cheaper then what they are currently.
