He compares several light-pollution filters (Astroklar, Natural Night, etc.) and shows some nice results – but I keep wondering how much of that could also be achieved later in post-processing.
So I’m curious:
– Have you tried one of these filters, and was it worth it?
– Do you find the examples in Paul’s review convincing or a bit artificial?
– Has anyone used such filters for aurora photography – do they help or make things worse?
– I always wish reviews would share the RAW files, so we could really compare results.
I’d need one in 86 mm (around €200), so not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find one to rent just for testing.
